Ioana Cheptea is always on the move.

Born in Romania to parents who were desperate to leave after, ’89 can you blame her? She immigrated to Vancouver, Canada and grew up a third culture child, driving her to tell stories from new angles and push the envelope by exploring unique perspectives. Not afraid of genre or getting her hands dirty in research she searches for truth in story, often adding some decent comedic relief. Ideas come to her like a vision, she is merely the vessel passing them on to the world. Sometimes she wonders if she’ s real or just a medium for storytelling.
